MONDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2004           Politicians urged to contribute in economic dev POLITICIAN, in Bebeji local government area of Kano state, have been urged to contribute their quota in the development of the area economically. The chairman of the council, Alhaji Dankaka Husaini Bebeji, made the call while presenting bicycles, and motorcycles to political leaders of the area. The chairman said he purchased the motorcycles and the bicycles personally and donated item to all the leaders of ANPP in the area for them to seed as sense of belonging. He said that he purchased more than 100 wrappers and donated to women leaders of ANPP in the area, apart from assisting them with a number of essential commodities. Alhaji Dankaka Hussaini, who advised them to redouble their efforts towards the progress of the party, also urged them to cooperate among themselves, and avoid anything that would tarnish their image and the party. He described the area as one of the peaceful local government in the state, and enjoined the people to cooperate with the present administration in the state with a view to achieve the desire goals. Responding on behalf of the party executive, the chairman of Kofa ward Alhaji Ibrahim Iro Kofa, who thanked the chairman for the kind gesture added that the motorcycles, and the bicycles would assist them greatly towards moving the party forward in the area.
