MONDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2004           Power outage still worries Kano Municipal By BALA ABUBAKAR KANO state government has been advised to urgently address the problem of power outage bedevilling the Kano Municipal and its environ. Speaking to Daily Triumph in an interview a concern citizen, Alhaji Sani Abubakar, said the state government is to ensure steady distribution of electricity for the people across the state. Going by this development, Kano state as a whole compare with other states is left behind in the area of steady supply of electricity and charged the present administration to tackle the situation. The concern citizen however wondered what exactly goes wrong with (NEPA) in Kano whose responsibility is to ensure steady distribution of electricity to the people and appealed to the government not to fold its arm and allow the situation worsen. He cited examples of some states where they set up their independent power supply to enhance the lives of their communities. According to him, Kano being a commercial nerve centre ought to enjoy 24 hours power supply in order to improve the socio economic well being of the state.
