MONDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2004           Upgrade G/Gidauniya dispensary JGSG urged THE Jigawa state government has been urged to upgrade the Garun-Gudinya dispensary to the status of comprehensive health centre to accommodate high rate of patients in the area. The councillor representing Garun-Gadinya ward in Babura local government area of Jigawa state, Alhaji Lawan Abdullahi Garu made the appeal while speaking to our reporter. He said in order to meet the demand of the people on health care a new temporary dispensary was opened at Wada village through the polling units funds released to them by the state government. Alhaji Lawan Abdullahi said the dispensary is attending patients from Jansa, Dabawa, Wada Madalla, Ando and Zuru villages. The councillor used the occasion to called on the Babura local council to construct a permanent dispensary at Wada village to cater for the needs of the people. He commended the Jigawa state government for constructing a 70 kilometre road linking Kanya-Babba-Dandi- Achilafiya which has greatly reduced the hardship being experienced by people in the area. On money given to women through the polling units, the councillor hailed governor Turaki for his foresight and visionary leadership.
