Member representing Dala constituency in the
Kano state House of Assembly, comrade Alhasan Uba Idris has described the
development projects executed in his constituency as a fulfillment of his
campaign promises Comrade Idris made the disclosure while presenting a 500
KVA transformer to Madigawa ward in Dala local government council of the
state.
He pointed that from his assumption of office
to date; transformers have been supplied to areas of Adakawa Gobirawa
Tsamiyar Zubau and Madigawa, in addition to his efforts and towards
restoration and cleaning up of Goron Dutse overhead talk to boost water
supply in the areas.
Comrade Idris revealed that in his collaborated
effort with the House of Assembly, he has been able to brace up to
challenges to ensure a just and fair compensation to the victims of last
Gwammaja Plane crash, saying that a reasonable amount was given to the
victims.
He added that the least among the victims had
received the sun of N 1.470 million while those mostly affected have
received over N5 million, adding that subsequent payment of death
compensation is under-way.
He therefore calls on the beneficiaries of
these projects to make good use of it and also serve as a watch dog in
maintaining their safety.
Earlier, the chairman House committee on Rural
Development, Hon. Abdullahi Lawal Adaraye, representing Ungogo constituency
had said that the gesture was a good omen by comrade Idris, aimed at making
better the life of the people of his constituency.
Hon. Lawal Adaraye pointed out that executing
these types of projects are clear testimonies that their representative is
doing his best to fulfill his campaign promises.
He then called on the people of the
constituency to reciprocate by giving him good advices urging them to make
good use of the projects and not to allow bad elements to misuse them.
Contributing, Alhaji Madugu Usman Na Ya'u the
special Adviser on Politics to the chairman of Dala local government council
commended the member, describing the projects as long waited ones for the
people of the area.
He then congratulated the people of Dala
constituency for electing a dedicated member who is willing to see the
development of his people all the time.
Meanwhile, two motorized boreholes which were constructed by
the member to curtail water problems have been commissioned at Dogon Nama
and Madabo Kantudu wards all in the constituency.
