WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2004           Kano SSG confident in 2005 task-force on Hajj KANO state Secretary to the Government (SSG), Alhaji Abdulkarim Hassan, has expressed confidence in the efforts and determination of the state 2005 Task Force on Hajj Operation to deliver the best expected of them. Alhaji Hassan made the remark yesterday while receiving members of the task force who paid him a courtesy visit in his office. The SSG in a statement signed by his Press Secretary, Kabiru Salisu Koki, maintained that �in a situation where you have people who are steadfast and dedicated to their assigned responsibilities, you will always be at ease to face other pressing issues at hand�. He then used the forum to intimate them of the difficulty of the task ahead, which according him, judging from the past experience, will not hinder them from achieving a record success in the discharge of their assignment. He therefore, prayed to Allah (SWT) to assist them in the discharge of their responsibilities both at home and at the Holyland. Earlier, the chairman of the task force who is also the state commissioner of information, Alhaji Garba Yusuf Abubakar had said that they were at the SSG�s office to seek his guidance, advice and prayers. According to him, they had paid similar visits to the Emir of Kano, Kano office of the CBN, Immigration and Customs headquarters in order to enable them conduct their assignment smoothly. He also used the occasion to register his appreciation on behalf of the members of the task-force for selecting them once again, for this important assignment, which he said is not an easy one but hoped that with Allah�s guidance and that of people like the SSG, he is confident they will deliver the best.
