WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2004           Former SSG makes case for NDDC A former Secretary to Delta State Government, Mr Simeon Efenudu, has appealed to the federal government to allocate more funds to the Niger Delta Development Commission. This, Efenudu said, would enable the NDDC to make a greater impact in the socio-ecnomic development of the Niger Delta area. He told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka on Monday that though government had been funding the commission, it needed more money to provide infrastructure for the people. ``If more funds are made available to the NDDC, it will do more for the people and the more the commission does, the less restive the youths will be,'' he said. On the administration of Gov. James Ibori, the former government scribe urged his critics to give him a chance to improve the lot of the people. He noted that the road projects embarked upon by the Ibori administration were ``massive and among the biggest in the country''. ``For this, the man should be commended,'' he added.
