WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2004           Sharia commission to give Triumph mosque By ALIYU UMAR THE chairman of Kano state Sharia commission, sheikh Ibrahim Umar Kabo, has assured the Triumph mosque committee of effecting general renovation on the company's daily prayer mosque. He gave the assurance while receiving members of the committee led by its chairman, Alhaji Garba Musa, to present the mosque's bill of quantity as demanded by the commission. According to him, the committee would do all it could to persuade the state governor approve the work of renovating the mosque. The chairman used the occasion to call on the management of the publishing company, to improve both standard and circulation of its two vernacular newspapers (Albishir-Alfijir) for them to reach out to their readers across the country. His words:" our effort in getting the people enlightened on the activities of the commission depends on the vernacular newspapers mostly the Ulama residing at grassroots". Earlier the chairman of the Triumph mosque committee Alhaji Garba Musa expressed optimism that the commission would do its homework to see that the mosque's renovation becomes a reality.
