WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2004           Ungogo LG urged to cosntruct road By BALA ABUBAKAR UNGOGO local government council in Kano state has been called upon to extend its road project to link up Dawanau along Kano-Katsina road. An (ANPP) chieftain in the area, Alhaji Halliru Saleh made the call while speaking to Daily Triumph in an interview. The ANPP stalwart explained that the road has become a death trap for commuters, saying that when constructed would greatly assist the people of Ungogo ease their transportation problem. Alhaji Saleh who reminded the council on the need to redeem its pledge of sinking bore holes, and road construction in the area in order to boost the socio-economic status of the people. He however commended the local government for its dedication and concern towards the plight of the people in the area. He commended the legislative arm of the local council for the role it played in boosting the socio-economic development of the area few months into office.
