Ogun promises to issue C of O in two months

Titles to landed property in Ogun State conferring acquisition on status have been liberated as Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) takes maximum of two months to obtain now. Besides, the cries of land speculators defrauding people have been reduced to near zero on the assumption of office by Otuba Gbenga Daniel, thereby increasing the number of enquiries about land in the state.

Director-general of the Bureau of Lands, Survey and Town Planning, Mr. Gbenga Ogunnoiki, a surveyor disclosed in an interview with Daily Independent that well over N300 million has been realised on titles to landed property in the past ten months.

“It is a success of this administration that the state master plan is on the verge of completion; a sizeable land has also been allocated to Nigerian Breweries Plc and other multinationals in various parts of the state.

“We have been able to cater for both private residential and industrial purpose at Itele and Ogijo, which are actually mixed income for low, middle and high income earners,” the director general stressed while enthusing about the enquiries from the organised private sector (OPS) for land.

Commending Daniel for his vision in reducing the encumbrance on requisition of land, Ogunnoiki assured that no property would be revoked, even as he appealed to holders to begin development within six months of allocation.
