FRIDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2004           Kano education ministry clamps down on illegal schs KANO state ministry of education has started closing down defaulting private schools that are operating illegal in the state. Speaking while performing the operation the director private schools at the state ministry of education, Alhaji Tajudeen Gambo said the exercise has commended after the deadline given to all private schools to formalize their registration has expired. The schools so far affected by the exercise include prestige Academy located at Kabuga quarters, Jomilec Nursery/primary school also at Kabuga quarters Fati Tonga Nurrtsery/primary school located at Goron Dutse quarters and Ramat College of Fagge Yantaya. Other schools affected by the closure include Bright international nursery and primary school, Unguwar Gaya Badawa quarters and Anchor comprehensive college located at Kabuga. Also affected by the exercise is Nassarawa Nursery and primary school of Kabuga quarters. Parents and guardians are hereby notified to take note of the development.
