NULGE set to elect officials ARRANGEMENT has been concluded by the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Babura local government chapter, to elect new officers to run its affairs. The sole administrator of the union in the area, comrade Bashari Abdullahi Babura disclosed this while addressing staffers of the council who converged at the council's secretariat in preparation for the election which was scheduled to take place yesterday but was later re-scheduled to another date. Comrade Bashari Abdullahi advised delegates to unite themselves and vote candidates of their choice. The sole administrator said two candidates seeking for the chairmanship post include Alhaji Adamu Idris from personnel management department and Alhaji Lawal Sabo from treasury. On his part the chairman of the election committee Alhaji Ibrahim Mudi Gumel advised the two aspirants to co-operate with themselves and warned their supporters to be loyal and disciplined during and after the election. Alhaji Gumel who is also the head of social and community development department of the local government prayed to Almighty Allah for a successful hitch-free elections. Those who graced the meeting include the Director Personnel Management (DPM) Alhaji Halilu Rabi'u Babura, the head of agriculture and natural resources Alhaji Isa Ibrahim Togai and the treasurer Alhaji Tijjani Ibrahim Babura. Others were representatives from NULGE Jigawa state chapter, the divisional police officer of the area represented by DCO Ishiaku Mohammad, SSS and the two chairmanship candidates.
