FRIDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2004           South East Liberation Front warns Ngige A pressure group, South East Liberation Front (SELF), says Governor Chris Ngige of Anambra state should accept the restoration of his full security as a �Greek gift�. The group, in a statement signed by its President, Chief Chiwueze Ahanotu, said Ngige should be careful, reminding him that Chief Bola Ige, Chief Harry Marshall and Dikibo were killed amid Police presence. �Ngige is hereby warned given the circumstances under which some politicians were allegedly killed,�� SELF said in the statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos. The group also supported the demand for a N50 billion compensation by the federal government towards rebuilding government property and buildings destroyed in the political disturbances. It called for a prudent management of the nation�s resources by the political class. �We should continue the fight against corruption, ineptitude and lack of transparency in the management of our resources,�� the group added.
