'CBI Socially Responsible' Managing Director of Capital Bank International Limited, (CBI) Mr. Omatseyin Ayida has described the bank as socially responsible. Speaking at the commissioning of the rehabilitated Ligali Ayorinde Street in Victoria Island, the CBI boss, who was represented by the bank's General Manager in charge of Operations and Administration, Mr. Bankole Amu, said that Capital Bank is "an organisation with very sensitive social conscience." The rehabilitated Ligali Ayorinde Street, which was jointly financed with four other corporate oganisations, was commissioned by the Lagos State Governor Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Over N30m was spent in the rehabilitation of the street. Other collaborating organizations were Global Bank Plc, Victoria Continental Hotels and Tours, Pan Ocean Oil and Prestige Assurance Plc.
