Hoodlums Invade Oba's Palace Ekiti From Dipo Okunmuyide in Ado-Ekiti Timely intervention of policemen from the Area Command in Ikole-Ekiti and divisional headquarters in Oye local government area saved the monarch of Ayede-Ekiti, Oba Adeleye Orisagbemi, from being forcefully ejected from the palace by some hoodlums sponsored by a prominent chief in the town. Disclosing this to newsmen in Ayede-Ekiti, a group of high chiefs led by Chief Kayode Adetifa said the attack might not be unconnected with the Court of Appeal verdict sitting in Ilorin on the obaship tussle rocking the town for the past 10 years. Adetifa accused one Chief Adebayo Brown who is in the opposing camp that took Oba Orisagbemi to court for misinforming the youths that the court verdict was against the Oba Orisagbemi, following the attempt to forcefully deposed him. Adetifa who is the Arole Oba of Ayede-Ekiti pointed out that the court verdict was not explicit nor categorical that Oba Orisagbemi should vacate office, wondering what could have motivated the miscreants.
