Team Nigeria Fund Drive Rolls into Lagos By Wale Ajimotokan The Team Nigeria Athens 2004 campaign will get a boost on Monday in Lagos at a fund raising dinner at the instance of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE). The fund raising billed for the Lagoon Restaurant will have in attendance several business captains. The Team Nigeria concept is a joint initiative of both the Sports Ministry and the Nigeria Olympic Committee(NOC) to encourage the organised private sector participation in the preparation of the team to major international competitions. The Lagos arm of the fund raising dinner is one of the several other events planned to hold nation wide. The Stock Exchange will assist in raising funds for the training camp of the team as well utilising some of the raised funds in development of sports at grassroots level.
