Alcatel Integrates New Applications

The Chief Executive Officer of NTTS Limited, Mr. Moti Dadlani has said that small and medium sized companies face the same technological needs as large organisations in managing increased information flows and optimising customer relationship.
Dadlani who was speaking in Lagos also stated that by integrating powerful customer-focused solutions, the Alcatel OminiPCX Office 3.0 allows the smaller companies to better manage their communications needs and improve their customer services.
The new product integrates two new major applications: the Alcatel OmniTouch call Centre Office, which provides call centre functionality, and the Alcatel nomadic Web Communication Assistant, the application that enables access to voice and e-mail messages with a simple browser.
Alcatel OmniTouch Call Centre Office supports multiple user interfaces for the agents including Alcatel digital reflexes sets, Alcatel DECT sets, Alcatel IP Reflexes sets, analog sets or PIMphony IP and Alcatel PC based soft phone.
According to Dadlani, with IP phone sets and PIMphony IP, a business can deploy an IP call centre solution supporting remote agents.
"The Alcatel OmniTouch Call Centre Office is an integrated customer interaction management solution featuring full call centre functionality. This embedded application supports up to 32 agents in up to 8 groups. The group can be defined by people skills, by company departments or for specific inbound calls such as VIP calls," Dadlani explained.
Alcatel Web Communication Assistant, the NTTS CEO pointed out, is a thin client-based application allowing on-site and off-site users to access their voice messages and e-mail inbox with a simple Web browser.
Continuing, he said the application integrates a "nomadic" feature which allows a remote user to route phone calls to any external phone set, adding that users can access their voice messages and email from anywhere ensuring vital contact with customers and colleagues when out of the office.
"The Alcatel OmniPCX Office," Dadlani concludes, " is an integrated communication solution designed for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). IT consists of pre-configured server that integrates Voice (IP or TDM), Internet, email, Call Centre and Data (LAN switching) in one single system. In the simplest way possible, it delivers SMEs a complete set of services to enhance communication flow management, company efficiency and productivity."
