TIO Launches Online Network for Africans in Business

Africans living and working abroad now have an opportunity to constantly network and partner with their colleagues on the continent through a forum called the AIBusinessnetwork.
At an interactive forum in Lagos recently, the initiator of the effort, and chief executive officer of TIO Corporation Limited, Mrs. Flora Ekundayo, said through the just launched aibusinessnetwork.com website, sustainable enterprise and growth within the African business community would be encouraged.
She said the website would promote positive perception of Africans doing business and support the development of business and social enterprise. The plan was for it to become a reference point for key information from events to training as well as other useful links, she said.
Africans living abroad had a lot to give back to the continent, she said, and through networking and partnerships introduced by means of the AIBusinessnetwork they would be able to do this.
According to her, AIBusinessnetwork would provide 'Events and programmes that provide thought leadership, share- learning and networking opportunities, an advertising platform for members via an online business directory. She said it would also have proactive updates on latest news and information and a dedicated 'members as part of its package of membership benefits.
Ekundayo said AIBusinessnetwork would work with key organizations on the African continent to provide a wide range of opportunities through which its members can support activities in Africa. Such activities would include volunteering time and expertise to coach students or provide specialist resource in key areas such as health and education.
She finally said that AIBusinessnetwork would seek to establish key relationships with organizations and groups that support sustainable enterprise development, improved education standards and health care. AIBusiness will be running several of its programmes in collaboration with other organizations.
