Access Bank Raises $10.4m for Odu'a Telecom Exim Bank The US EXIM Bank last Thursday approved a $10.4 million facility under its Export Credit Guarantee Program in favour of Odu'a Telecoms Limited for the rollout and expansion of their Fixed Wireless Network in the Western Nigeria. Access Bank Plc as Financial Adviser / Lead Arranger to Odu'a Telecoms Limited sought financing through the US EXIM Bank for the expansion of the Odu'a Tel FWA Network. In line with its mandate and in accordance with US EXIM Bank procedures, Access Bank partnered with Toronto Dominion Bank, one of Canada's leading banks to provide financial cover for the EXIM Bank facility. Access Bank was also required to arrange a local syndicate of banks to provide bank guarantees in support of an EXIM bank Guaranteed facility. The local banks approved by the EXIM Bank to participate in the syndicated guarantee facility of $10.4 Million include Union Bank of Nigeria Plc and Wema Bank Plc. Access Bank through its relationship with the EXIM Bank and other international financial institutions is continuing with its vision to provide access to medium to long term financing to Nigerian businesses thereby ensuring the growth and development of the Nigerian economy.
