Those kinds of roles Nigeria play, there must be some kinds of compensation for that, based on that alone, I believe  the international communities should cancel Nigeria’s debts”. The Governor also urged the international communities to consider the reasons adopted for the cancellation of debts of Iraq and others in the cancellation of Nigeria’s debt “based on the same argument that the big powers like Iraq and co were forgiven because they were ruled by dictators, they should apply the same principle here too because we’ve had dictators ruling us. We need that kind of break”, he explained.
