The bank is owned by Kwara and Kogi states. The Information and Home Affairs Commissioner, Alhaji Raheem Adedoyin said in Ilorin yesterday that the decision was taken at its executive council meeting on Wednesday. He said the gesture was to enable the bank sustain its expansion programme and the leading role of the state government as the single largest shareholder of the commercial outfit. The amount is to be contributed by the state and its local councils in the proportion of N150 million by the state while its 16 local councils would pay the balance. With the development the councils would become stakeholders in the bank.
