Judge's Testimony Not Surprising-Ibori's Aide From Jaiyeola Andrews in Asaba Senior Special adviser to Delta State governor, Mr Abel Oshevire yesterday said he was not surprised by the testimony of the judge of the Bwari Court Abuja, Awwal Yusuf on Wednesday in the case at the Abuja High Court to determine whether Governor James Onanefe Ibori was the one convicted for a criminal offfence in 1995. In a reaction on yesterday in Asaba, afternoon, the Senior Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor, Mr Abel Oshevire said Yusuf's testimony that he had convicted the Delta State Governor Chief James Ibori in 1995 was typical. Oshivire said that had had been the issue with the judge since the case started. He said Ibori was innocent of all the charges which he described as politically motivated. He stated that Yusuf and his collaborators wherever they might be would be put to shame at the end of the day. "Ibori never stood trial before him or any court in the country or any where in the world. He is innocent of all the charges which are politically motivated," He said the governor would be vindicated. But across town in Asaba the state capital, people received the news with near indifference. People gathered at the popular newstands in the city to discuss the issue. Also top aides of the governor did nor comment on the situation. The politcal adviser to the governor, Chief Ighoyota Amori equally chose not to speak to the media on the issue.
