Improved Conditions Enhanced Judges Performance - Lagos CJ By Shaka Momodu Retiring Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Fatai Adeyinka has said that improved condition of service for the State's Judges has greatly enhanced the effective dispensation of Justice during his tenure in office. Speaking yesterday when he paid a courtesy call on Lagos State Governor, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Justice Adeyinka noted that the improved conditions of service especially through house allocation, new cars and improved office environment provided by the Governor, enhanced judges' performance. Commending Tinubu for his commitment to transformation on the State's Judiciary, the outgoing two Chief Judge noted that, not only has the contract for the electronic court recording system been signed the creation of a Badagry Judicial division and revenue courts have been undertaken to enhance the court's discharge of its duties. While also calling for an improved condition of service for magistrates, Adeyinka said as a palliative for decongestion he had ordered that Magistrates at Ojo, Iworo and Badagry should address warrants to the under utilised Badagry prisons. Responding, Tinubu noted that his administration's commitment to reforms was informed by the need to promote conditions that are germane to the survive of democracy. Tinubu said further that the partnership and accommodation between the various stakeholders have ensured the surccessful implementation of reforms planned.
