Lawmaker Procures Fertiliser for Constituency From Saka Ibrahim in Gombe Member of House of Representatives representing Kaltungo/Shongom Federal Constituency, Hon. Adamu Gora Kalba has procured 30 tonnes of assorted fertiliser to farmers in his constituency, Kalba warning against diversion of the commodity. According to Kalba, a bag of fertiliser should be sold at affordable price to farmers in two local governments and should not be above the state government. Said the lawmaker "I procured the fertiliser to complement government efforts and assist farmers in my constituency." He explained that he had appointed nine committees that will monitor the sales of the commodity in all the wards of the two councils. The chairman of the fertiliser distribution, Michael Bades commended the lawmaker for his assistance and assured him of fair distribution. He, however, thanked the governor for sending a team of erosion control engineers to Kumo Town, Pindiga and Bogo erosion areas to look into the possibility of controlling it. "It is our hope that the work will be extended to Pindiga and BCGA Bogo areas," the chairman stressed."
