Tinubu Tasks Nigerians on Nation-building Lagos By Shaka Momodu Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has charged Nigerians to be prepared for the task of nation-building as government could no longer solely provide the required funds for the development of infrastructure and provision of social services. He said "it is only through collaboration between the government and the people that we would be able to accomplish the aims and objectives of a better nation." Tinubu made these remarks during the formal commissioning of the Lagos State Polytechnic, School of Engineering Lecture Theatre and Administrative Block at the Permanent Site, Ikorodu Campus. Tinubu added that with the collaborative efforts between the private and public sectors, the state government has put in place a good concept which would include inaugurating a committee made up of credible people in both private and public sector. "It would be the pre-occupation of the good cause committee to disburse funds injected into projects by the private sector towards ensuring good output," the governor said. He appealed to the management and entire students of the polytechnic, who are the direct beneficiaries of the kind gesture of Julius Berger to make adequate use of the facilities. The governor also implored all wealthy individuals and corporate bodies in the state to emulate the exemplary conduct of Julius Berger and Zinox Computers Limited.
