Oyo Tackles Damilola in Final Idowu Cup By Femi Solaja After five days of brilliant ball display, the final match of Nathaniel Idowu U-15 soccer tournament comes up this evening at the main bowl of National Stadium, Lagos. The final, which will attract many dignitaries including the sponsor, Chief Nathaniel Idowu, will see Oyo state cadets take on Damilola Taylor side to determine the winner of the coveted gold trophy. To reach the final, Oyo state overpowered British Council (CATS) in the first semi final tie 2-0. Suara Habeeb opened score in the 28th minute while substitute, Demola Atoyebi, ensured his side of final ticket with the second goal towards the end of the match. In the second semi final, Damilola Taylor overwhelmed their Ekiti counterpart 3-0 with goals from Jerry Samuel in the 7th minute while Azeez Sobola scored the other two goals in the second half. The British Council side will engage Ekiti lads this morning for the third place match at the practice pitch of National Stadium while an assemblage of ex-footballers will engage themselves in a match that will precede the final match this evening.
