Ultimate Man visits Daily Independent
By Emmanuel Ukudolo
Correspondent, Lagos
The Ultimate Man, Ezugo Egwuago, on Thursday paid a
courtesy visit to the corporate headquarters of Daily Independent in Ikeja, Lagos in appreciation of
the support extended to him and his colleagues during their 21-day sojourn in
Snake Island.
In the team was Ezugo, Events Manager, First
Kilimanjaro Events, Mr. Conrad Okpor and Media Relations Manager, Quadrant, Mr.
David Dairo.
Receiving the delegation, Editor of the newspaper, Mr.
James Akpandem, expressed management’s satisfaction with the visit,
adding that though tight schedules prevented him from enjoying the Ultimate
Reality Show, those who followed it religiously wondered what would be the next
theatrical spectacle towards the end of the show.
He said the reality show was an event that benefited
the media even more than the Ultimate Man in terms of advertisement, adding
that Ezugo is Nigeria’s Michael Power.
He explained that Ezugo is “Home grown, developed from here. We can export him
and make him bigger than what he is. He can also make himself much bigger than
what he is by becoming much more relevant to himself.”
According to him, money is not everything but more of a
ladder for hard work, for adventure and for perseverance. He said the prize was
meant to shoot the winner up. “You are now in the Nigerian community.
Michael Power started somewhere like that, most of the models started like
that.”
