Dolphin football
club of Port-Harcourt supporters club have carried their vicious attitude to
Kaduna and football fans and hoteliers in Kaduna will not forget them in a hurry. The supporters were
on the rampage for more than eleven hours.
No sooner had the
league match against Rangers ended than they went on rampage searching for any
official of the team in sight.
Just before the
start of the match against Rangers which ended 1-1, the Accountant of the Club
was beaten to a state of stupor
and money in his custody snatched.
Later that Sunday night, the supporters club stormed the Mussafir Hotel
in Kaduna, where members of the Dolphin management had lodged, searching every
room in the complex in a bid to fish out any member of the management. It was an exercise in
futility as the team’s
officials may have been tipped off
before the arrival of the fans.
The supporters
moved to the Ahmadu Bello Stadium hostel where the players and technical crew
camped and all players and coaches were ordered down from their rooms . They were eventually forced to part with
large sums of money to cater for the feeding and fuelling of the supporters club bus back to Port
Harcourt.
Chief Coach of the
team, Phillip Boamah was also woken up at about 5am on Monday morning and
brought down from his room in a state of near nakedness to address the
supporters club just before they made their journey back to Port Harcourt.
