Igbinedion's Convoy in Road Accident, Outrider Killed From Omon-Julius Onabu in Benin-City Governor Lucky Igbinedion of Edo State has expressed deep shock and sadness over the road accident which at the weekend claimed the life of one of his outriders The outrider, a police sergeant attached to the Governor's Office, Benin City, Mr Humphery Osadolor, was crushed to death. Osadolor was travelliing in the convoy of the governor on an official engagement in Ewu, Esan Central Local Government area of the state. The incident occurred at Obagie Village along the Benin-Auchi Road, when his BMW motorbike ran into a Honda Accord car. The policeman died on the spot and the timely intervention of villagers who presented an eye-witness account of the accident prevented the other security personnel in the convoy from manhandling the driver of the Honda car. According to them, the driver was not at fault, since it was the late outrider who allegedly lost control of his motor-bike and ran into the car. The Honda was said to be moving at top speed and could not veer off the car in time. However, Igbinedion, who described the death of Sergeant Osadolor as a great loss, noted that the deceased was a complete gentleman who always attended to his duties diligently until his sudden death. Meanwhile, a government delegation led by the state commissioner for health, Mr. Godwin Ovbiagele, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased. The delegation conveyed the message of sympathy from the governor to the Osadolor family.
