Ohanaeze Mends Fences with Other Groups From Emmanuel Ugwu in Enugu The new leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has said that its mission of building bridges of understanding across Nigeria's ethnic divide has been a successful venture. President General of Ohanaeze, Professor Joe Irukwu made this known at the weekend while addressing newsmen on the activities of his new executive, saying that the past six months was devoted to the peace mission . "Ohanaeze is an agency for building very solid bridges of goodwill and better understanding between Ndigbo and other Nigerians, starting from our neighbours in this part and every other part of Nigeria," he said. Irukwu said that since Nigeria as a nation derives its strength from the various component ethnic groups there was need for them to be united under the principle of equity and fair play.
