Don't Overstep Your Bounds, Madaki Cautions Alli From Tunde Sanni in Ilorin National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Demoractic Party (PDP), Col. Yahanna Madaki, has warned Plateau State Sole Administration, General Chris Alli, not to challenge the nation's Constitution and the PDP laws with his actions. Speaking with newsmen in Ilorin at the hearing of election petitions the party instituted against Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC), Madaki said "the recent executive actions of Alli were vested in an elected government only, and not in a sole administrator." He advised him to focus on his brief, which was to restore peace and confidence in the people as well as the state. Madaki, former governor of the old Gongola State, said "his resolve to probe Governor Joshua Dariye and sacking of some board chairmen are definitely not within his brief. He should just retrace his steps, or else, he will be callenging the party and the 1999 Constitution." Also speaking on divisions in some state organs of the party, Madaki, said it is natural and expected, and that they all point to one thing, every one wants the party's progress but with different approaches. He argued that the divisions is the fall back of the large followership of the party. Madaki described as an act of indiscipline, refusal of state organs to abide by the national executive of the party's choice of candidate at the last local government polls and vowed that the party shall pursue the case legally.
