2007: Nigerians Abroad Mobilise for Marwa Lagos Nigerian professionals abroad have joined the league of people mobilising support for the former Lagos State military administrator, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (rtd) for the 2007 presidential election. The professionals who are based in United Kingdom, Europe and United States of America said they believe that if General Marwa could be elected president come 2007, he will transform Nigeria to a good prosperous nation. According to a statement jointly signed by the president and Secretary General of the United Kingdom based "Marwa 2007 Project," Mr. Akin Adejumo and Himny Ojezuabi Gabriel said the group's aim "is to contribute to the building of a better, peaceful and prosperous Nigerian entity by giving our support to the candidature of Gen. Buba Marwa (rtd), for the presidency of Nigeria in the year 2007." The group further enjoined all well-meaning and progressive Nigerians, home and abroad to support Marwa so that Nigerians can witness tremendous progress. Also, an organisation based in Dallas, Texas, United States of America tagged, friends of Marwa Organisation (USA) has lent their voice to the call for Marwa to come out and contest the 2007 presidential election.
