Goje Promises Compensation for Supporters Gombe From Saka Ibrahim in Gombe Gombe State Governor, Danjuma Goje has promised to compensate his supporters in Yamalfu-Deba local government for making him win the last governorship election in the state. Goje while speaking during his local government tour of the council, said he would have lost the elections if not for their 146,000 votes. According to him, he had the intention of compensating them adequately. "I am now in Deba, you know me and I know you. You contributed immensely to my success during the governorship election by giving me block votes of about 146,000 the highest in the state". Goje promised to embark on developmental projects in Gombe in order to move the state forward and with the support of others develop the state. He said his intention is to embark on road construction, provision of hospital, portable water and electricity among other facilties in all the 11 local government areas of the state. The governor however advised the people to allow ambitious politicians not to divide them in order for them to enjoy dividends of democracy. He urged them to beware of politicians who are claming to be members of the ruling People Democratic Party (PDP) but with an ulterior motive of causing confusion in PDP at all cost. Chairman of the council, Alhaji Isa Kurba commended the governor for his achievement and appealed to him to provide more roads, electricity, water and hospitals in the area.
