Communication Outfit Holds W/shop for SMEs
A Lagos based Integrated marketing communicat-ions outfit, Presentations Plus, is putting together a one-day workshop titled "How small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) can effectively use integrated marketing communications (IMC) to boost and increase profits. "
According to the organizers of the workshop, the BESA (Business Empowerment and Skill Acquisition) series is a community development initiative designed to add value to the quality of marketing communications output in businesses. To them, it is part of their social responsibilities as corporate citizens.
The statement from the organisers says that the workshop which comes up on July 15, 2004 at the auditorium of the Nigerian Society of Engineers building in Victoria Island, Lagos is open to members of the public, operators and managers of small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs), funding agencies, marketing executives, entrepreneurs and others. Admission to the workshop is free and participants must be registered by July 13, 2004.
Engineer Philip Adeyinka Oni, the Chairman of National Bank of Nigeria is expected to deliver the keynote address. Facilitators include Bayo Ogundipe, a seasoned Investment Banker and Chief Executive Officer of Supra Commercial Trust Limited, a subsidiary of Gulf Bank of Nigeria Plc. Others are Segun Bankole, Executive DirectorBusiness Development, Presentations Plus and Ayoola Sadare, Managing Director, Presentations Plus. The facilitators will take participants through the basic concepts of marketing communications as it relates to brand building in businesses and service offerings in the small and medium scale enterprise (SMEs) sector.
