Ohanaeze youths accuse Ogbeh of plotting against Igbo Presidency By Chukwudi Achife, Bureau Chief, Enugu. The youth wing of the pan-Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Youth Forum (OYF) has again accused the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Audu Ogbeh, of spearheading the plot to deny Igbo of the 2007 presidency. President-General of OYF, Mr. Solomon Chukwu, said Ogbeh and the leadership of the PDP were plotting “the disgrace and political downfall" of Igbo politicians with aspirations for the presidency, citing the "conspiracy" against Chief Alex Ekwueme in both the 1999 and 2003 PDP presidential primaries as one of the examples of Ogbeh’s hidden agenda against Ndigbo Ogbeh had while addressing the South East meeting of the party in Enugu on Saturday denied accusations contained in an advertorial published by the Ohanaeze youths, stating that he was not against the Igbo and their aspiration to the presidency and that he had always ensured a level playing ground for all sections of the country. Ogbeh also denied being responsible for the numerous party crises in some states in the zone just as he absolved himself from allegations that he stood in the way of some people from the zone who were already positioning themselves for various offices in 2007.  He, however, advised aspirants to political offices in the zone to look up to God for help, as they could not succeed through blackmail. The youths said however that Ogbeh was indirectly instigating the crisis within the PDP in some states within the South East, as part of a larger plan by him and other leaders of the party to further maginalise the zone in 2007. "Everybody in Igboland is aware that the leadership of PDP actually masterminded the downfall of the Igbo people in PDP politically,” Chukwu said.       Copyright� 2002.
