Emir Tasks Goje over Youth Unemployment Gombe From Saka Ibrahim in Gombe The Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar Usman has called on the state governor, Alhaji Danjuma Goje to endeavour to tackle unemployment problem in the state. The Emir who was worried that thousands of youth are roaming the streets without jobs, spoke during a courtesy call on him by the governor, pointing out the unemployment problem in the state needs urgent solution. Said the Emir: "I believe government should help by creating jobs especially for the youth in the state." Usman equally advised the government to engage the youth in planting mangoes and cashew to boost the economy. Usman however commended the achievements of the Goje administration so far, saying he is the only one following the blueprint of the creation of Gombe State. According to the Emir, the road network, the dual carriage way, the establishment of the state university and the ongoing Dadinkowa Water Project have showed that the governor is desperate to move the state forward. "We are grateful to Allah to have you as our governor. We know you want to make Gombe better like other developed states in the country." The traditional ruler appealed to the people of the state to continue to support the administration of Governor Goje.
