SNC: Abisoye Blames FG From Yinka Kolawole in Lokoja General Emmanuel Abisoye (rtd) has blamed President Olusegun Obasanjo administration for its failure to yield to the call for Sovereign National Conference, that are ground for solid democracy in Nigeria. Abisoye who made the observation while addressing the press in Lokoja on the state of affairs in Ogori/Magongo Local Government area maintained that the people had never been involved in fashioning for themselves a Constitution. He emphasised that "it was the military that gave us the Constitution adding that the constitution was not debated in any conference. He said that we shall iron out ourselves and agree on how we should stay as a nation. Abisoye pointed out that the present constitution was a document fashioned out and imposed on the country by the military ruling class and for its failure to renew the document. On his home front, General Abisoye urged the people of Ogori/Magongo to rally round the chairman of the local government area, Mr. Matthew Keyi for him to be able to perform.
