Borno Assembly Congratulates Haruna Adamawa From Abel Orih in Yola A delegation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) drawn from the Borno State House of Assembly, led by the Minority Leader, Mrs. Bashsir Hamidu, was at the Yola Government House yesterday to congratulate Governor Boni Haruna on his Appeal Court victory as well as to commiserate with the government and people of Adamawa over the recent Numan crisis. Receiving the delegation, Haruna noted that the visit was a clear testimony of the brotherly relationship between the people of Adamawa and Borno, adding that the two states share many things in common. He said: "I want to thank you seriously for this religious commitment to the cause of the people of Adamawa state and in particular to my cause since the day of judgment of the lower tribunal that annulled my election." "It is on record that shortly after the annulment, you were here to commiserate with me and your message was a very comforting one and it also has the capacity to energise us up to the time the appeal court upturned that judgment of the lower tribunal, and today you are here again to join me and entire people of the state in celebrating the victory as occasioned by that judgment."
