SystemSpecs Partners NCS, Provides Media Centre As the 19th National Conference of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) got underway in Abuja, SystemSpecs has agreed to sponsor the provision of a Media Centre and support the Diaspora Day of the event. The Conference which is already holding at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Abuja is expected to be a bigger event in scope and attendance than that of 2003. " It is in the light of this that we have accepted to support the provision of the Media Centre so that information gathering and dissemination to the public will be easier and better organized for medi personnel covering the conference." Says Deremi Atanda, SystemSpecs head of marketing. In addition, SystemSpecs has offered to support the Diaspora Day, which will be dedicated to representatives of Nigeria's IT professionals based in North America and Europe. It would be recalled that Dr. Hakeem Bakare, a Nigerian IT professional who spent over 17 years abroad recently joined SystemSpecs from Canada. The theme for this year's Conference is "Indigenous Information Technology Capacity Development: A veritable source of national income" (ICADEV 2004). At the 2003 edition of the conference SystemSpecs partnered with NCS in sponsoring the opening ceremony and provision of a Media Centre.
