Panasonic Dealers Visit Factory in Malaysia
Matsushita Electronic Industrial company of Japan has announced an Air Conditioner factory visit for some of its Nigerian dealers, to run from July 4 - July 10, 2004 in Malaysia.
The factory visit is to expose the dealers to the inner workings of Matsushita Electric company. The dealers would get first hand knowledge of product formulation and development, as well as familiarise themselves with the corporate philosophy of the company.
Matsushita Electronic company is the manufacturer of Panasonic brand of electronic and electronic product which can be subdivided in three categories, viz: consumer products, business systems solutions and broadcast and professional products.
In Nigeria, the company is well known for its brand of products such as the super ionizer Panasonic air-conditioner, Panasonic telephones and Panasonic TV and audio systems.
The company in a recent re-positioning as a global company adopted a new global slogan: "ideas for life" which summarises the company's basic management objective of being the brand for lifestyle.
The super ionizer Panasonic air-conditioner is now the rave at homes and offices. The air-conditioner generates negative ions that make people feel refreshed and energetic. In addition, the super ionizer air conditioner ensures perfect air quality through the catechin air purifying filter and triple deodorizing filter that rids the air of foul odour.
At a recent product range seminar held during May 2004 in Lagos, a spokeman for the company used the opportunity to announce the introduction of 42 household products into the Nigerian market, to strengthen its already existing line of products. These includes washing machines, blenders, irons, vacuum and cleaners. Matsushita Electric Industrial Company is responsible for the dealer's trip and stay in Malaysia for one week.
The company also revealed that this dealer's trip is just one of its many strategies to strengthen its foothold in the Nigerian air-conditioner market.
