The American Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. John F. Campbell and USAID Nigeria mission director, Dawn Liberia were expected yesterday to hand over 4,650 copies of NEEDS document to the Economic Adviser to the President and Chief Executive of the National Planning Commission (NPC), Prof. Ode Ojowu. Said USAID in its statement yesterday: "NEEDS was drafted by a 35-person committee with representatives from government, civil society, youths and the private sector in all geopolitical zones in the country. While USAID was not involved directly in the drafting of the document, it is pleased to have provided the following support: review of the draft document; synthesis of inputs from stakeholders who participated in six zonal workshops; editing of the final document; and printing and shipping of the final document."
