'Reconsider Stance on Oyo NUJ' Lagos The B zone of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, comprising Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Ogun and Lagos State Councils, has appealed to the National President of the Union, Smart Adeyemi to reconsider his stand on Oyo State council of the union. Adeyemi, penultimate Friday, ordered the dissolution of the Executive of Oyo NUJ. But the B zone of the Union at the end of its emergency meeting in Lagos weekend at the instance at the Executive Director of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, Otunba Segun Runsewe appealed to Adeyemi "to reconsider his stance in the interest of the union." The meeting resolved that early elections may however be conducted in Oyo NUJ "within the next few months." A communiqu� issued at the end of the meeting attended by chairman and secretaries of the aforementioned state councils submitted that the steps taken by the National Secretariat on the Oyo State NUJ problem should be addressed politically. It also recommended the calling of a special congress of Oyo NUJ "immediately to be attended and supervised by the leadership of the Zone."
