LG Boss Charged on Youth Empowerment Kwara From Tunde Sanni in Ilorin National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Kwara State has continued with its grassroot summit for elected council officials with a call on the chairman of Ilorin South, Alhaji AbdulWahab Issa to approve a programme on youth empowerment and self-reliance. The state chairman of the agency, Mr. Femi Mapaderun at the summit reasoned that the youth empowerment programme would guide the youth of the area to self reliance. Mapaderun, a former broadcaster noted that youth empowerment is another means of creating jobs for youth and a dividend of democracy. According to him, the youth, as leaders of tomorrow need to be guided to the path of patriotism and nationalism so that they can be useful elements for the country in future. He stated that NOA organised the programme to assist local councils in reaching to the grassroots and the need of the councils from their voters. In his remark at the occasion, the chairman of the council, Wahab Issa enjoined both the elected and career functionaries of the council to use the ideas and knowledge gained to improve on the fortunes of the people living in the area.
