Assurance Bank Finances 492 Motorbikes in Kastina
Four hundred and ninety two persons in Kastina State were recently presented with motorbikes, otherwise known as motorcycles, in a project financed by Assurance Bank Nigeria Limited.
The project, which is being coordinated by Mutunchi Pride Nigeria Limited, a major distributor of motorcycles in Kaduna State, is designed to aid the transportation of agricultural products within and outside the State.
At the presentation ceremony in Kastina, the Chairman of the Kastina State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KARDA), Comrade Ahmed Yusuf Kangiwa, praised the bank for supporting such a laudable venture despite the fact that it had no branch in the state.
This, he said was a demonstration that the bank stands out from its peers and it was heading for a leadership position in the industry.
He said the bank has by this act, created a niche for itself in the minds of the people. He urged the bank to site a branch in the State to help foster this already established business relationship.
A representative of Assurance Bank, Mr. Paul Adamu Jatau, expressed the bank's commitment to providing excellent services to the people and its resolve to be actively involved in projects that will uplift the standard of living of the people, especially the down trodden, regardless of the location.
He said the bank offered services, which provided for the family, retirement and children's education, Hajj and for the farming season.
Alhadi Idris Yusuf, Managing Director of Mutunchi Pride Nigeria Limited also represented his company at the ceremony.
Mutunchi Pride and Assurance Bank had also partnered in the supply of motorcycles to some Niger State citizens in Minna. The beneficiaries are to pay for the motorcycles on hire purchase basis.
This supply of motorcycles is expected to spread throughout the other states of Nigeria.
