Several kiosks and market stalls were demolished along Jos road in Lafia town. The demolition exercise, it was learnt was aimed at giving facelift to the state capital for the visit by President Olusegun Obasanjo to the state next week. A businessman with office in Dammaje Shopping Complex Jos road, Lafia, Moses Tije expressed displeasure over the way and manner the ministry handled the exercise. Mr Tije said he was not given enough notice to enable him find an alternative place of his business. He then called on the state government to provide traders with standard designed kiosks or stalls to enable them abide by provision of the law and secure their means of livelihood.
