Gombe AD Dissociates Self from Ex-minister's Comment From Saka Ibrahim in Gombe Alliance for Democracy (AD) in Gombe State yesterday dissociated itself from comments of its leader and former Minister for Mines and Power, Alhaji Mohammed Hassan. The state Chairman, Alhaji Nuhu Lubo, in a statement made available to THISDAY said the party had not authorised Hassan who was the chairman National Convention Committee (NCC) of AD to criticise Gombe government on its behalf. Said Lubo: "This is to notify the general public that a statement credited to Alhaji M.I. Hassan, former Minister for Mines and Power and published in some national dailies about the activities of the Gombe State government are entirely his own personal views and not the official views of the state chapter of the party." He said the party appreciates the progress being recorded by the Danjuma Goje-led administration in the state. "The Alliance for Democracy in Gombe State is appreciative of the progress being recorded in the state under the present government," Lubo stressed.
