4 Killed in Road Accident From Tunde Sanni in Ilorin Four persons lost their lives in an automobile accident, which occurred yesterday along old Jebba-Ilorin road, Kwara state. The victims traveling in a green 18-seater bus with LAHA 43 were said to be returning to Lagos from Share where they have gone for a burial ceremony of a relation of a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly when the accident occurred. Thisday check revealed that the accident was as result of the loss of one of the tyres of the bus said to be on a high speed. A sympathizer, who claimed to have assisted in the rescue operation said the bus sommersaulted when it veered off the road following the loss of the tyre. Some policemen sighted at the scene of the accident declined comment when asked to comment on the cause of the accident. The security men who arrived in a 505 car marked NPF592BO3 said they were not competent to speak on the accident, they however directed THSDAY to go to the state police headquarters for comment. Upon close watch, some personal effects apparently belonging to the victims such as ablution kegs, clothes, shoes and snacks were seen on the ground.
