Tinubu Accuses Lagos PDP of Anti-People Tactics By Shaka Momodu Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday indicted the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of standing against the state on concession for the non-release of fund to its councils, just as it warned council bosses to be mindful of their staff divulging official secrets to the rival party. Tinubu said the secrets revealed were being used against the state government in the suit filed challenging the withholding of council funds by Federal Government. Speaking at a programme titled legislative briefing organised for council public officers, by Lagos State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in collaboration with Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government and Inter-government Relations, the governor stated that the Lagos State PDP has showed that it was the one against creation of additional councils in the state. He explained that the documents released to the Lagos PDP by the council workers on salaries of their staff and primary school teachers had made it difficult for Federal Government to consider the appeal of the Supreme Court made last Tuesday that money should be released to pay the staff and primary school teachers. "Some of your workers are traitors, when the issue came up at the Supreme Court last week Tuesday, we discovered that it was the PDP Lagos State that are fighting us. "On previous Tuesday Senator Ogunlewe and the rest held series of meeting with Afe Babalola (SAN), and they promised to get him document that we are paying councils and we are able to pay and they got those documents with details of salaries paid to teachers, and reports of salaries paid to local government staff.
