Prudent Bank Poised to Meet New Capital Base By Hilda Esin Prudent Bank Plc has announced its readiness to meet the new N25 billion capital base recently announced by the Central Bank of Nigeria over which some banks would be compelled to merge to meet up the new requirement. In a statement signed by the bank's Head Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kayode Akinyemi, the bank's Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Akinsola Akinfemiwa, made this announcement yesterday during the customers' forum organised by the Balogun Business Association branch of the bank at the international Trade Fair Complex in Lagos. He said the bank is working out arrangement with a group of institutions to ensure an alliance that would enable them meet up with the challenge. According to the statement, the Managing Director, who assured customer on the safety of their funds with the bank, added that he is most certain that the bank would be among the banks that would scale through the N25 billion capitalisation challenge.
