Support Reproductive Health Programmes, Journalists Urged Bauchi From Segun Awofadeji in Bauchi Journalists in Bauchi State have been challenged to give adequate support to the promotion of reproductive health programmes, as the only means to enhance reproductive health status of the citizenry. Project Director of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), and Vision Project Organisation, Mrs. Sheba Seth Yusuf, at the NUJ Press Centre, Bauchi, urged journalists in the state to continue to disseminate correct information on reproductive health, to enable people make informed decisions. According to her, "NAWOJ in the State hopes to package a well-articulated advocacy message for policy makers at the local and state levels, so that before the end of the year, project by the NAWOJ/Vision Project, Bauchi State will make antenatal and delivery services free in the state". She said the project was aimed at improving the health status and quality of life of people in general, and that of women in particular, pointing out that "this we cannot successfully do without the media."
