NGO Donates Materials to Orphanage C/River From Amby Uneze in Calabar A Non-Governmental Organi-sation (NGO), the New Deal Organisation (NDO), Cross River State chapter has donated gift items worth thousands of naira to Mary Immaculate Orphanage, Calabar. The organisation, founded by the former pro-Abacha campaigner, Mr Daniel Kanu, has the aim of empowering youth and to reach out to less privileged members of the society. NDO, whose aim is to bring about socio-economic transformation and development through reaching out to the needy, is also complimenting government's efforts at alleviating the hardship of Nigerians. Donating the items in Calabar, its state co-ordinator, Murphy Ekpo, emphasised that it was in line with the aims and objectives of NDO to uplift the spirit of the less-privileged members of the society.
